Cougar Researchers:

We apparently have a collared cougar running around in N WI.  It is also ear tagged on the left ear with yellow tag.  I can't read the number off the enclosed photo, but appears to be a 2 digit number.  I have a call in to ATS to see if it might be one of their collars, but have not heard yet. . I am wondering if anyone recognizes the collar, ear tag, cat, or any combination that might let us know where it came from?  We would be interested in any history on the animal and especially interested in likely frequency of collar in case it is still functioning.

Pictures from apparent cougar in N WI in Douglas County in late July and recently apparently in Iron County.  We are still trying to verify actual locations.  If these count locations and timing are correct, it could

be in Upper Michigan by now.
